Labeling our Thinking!
Here are some examples of how we labeled our thinking after reading nonfiction texts. Taking time to think about what we've read is a vital comprehension skill to help us make connections to new learning!
We labeled new learning with an "L", "W" stands for "Wow! That's interesting!", and a "?" means we still have more questions about what we've just read. We also talked about places to find more information about a topic that interests them. (The library, a book, an expert, the internet with a parent, etc...) The students have become experts about sharing their thinking with others!
